The website My Heritage reports that Doug passed away in November of 2005 at the age of 59. He and Adrienne Arney were married in San Mateo and had one child. He subsequently remarried two more times to Janet Elliot in San Mateo and then to Eva Moore in Trinity County. Doug and Eva had one daughter, Alethea. Eva passed away in 2002. There isn't any more information about Doug's life and times, but research is ongoing. He had a sibling, but one with that last name could not be located in any of the Aragon yearbooks.

Here is a link to Doug's father's Find a Grave site. He was a major in the US army and served during the second world war. Major Throwell was a member of the medical corps.
