"He held many jobs over the span of his life, but he was most proud of his time in the police force, being a private detective, his partnership in the Jacksonville Saloon and helping his good friend run his movie theater. He is survived by his wife, Laurel, his sister, Betsy, and his two daughters, Jennifer and Rachel, as well as seven grandchildren and one great-grandchild."
