The following excerpt is from Robert's obituary that was published in the San Jose Mercury News.
"Robert Wayne Black Resident of Bodega Bay - It is with great sadness that we announce the passing of Robert Wayne Black on his 67th Birthday, July 6, 2015. Bob was born and reared in San Mateo. He attended St Matthews Catholic Grammar School and graduated from Aragon High School in 1966. He was a veteran of the Vietnam war. He loved fishing and his country. He became the assistant harbor master at Pillar Point in Half Moon Bay and later went on to be the harbor master in Bodega Bay, from where he retired. His character and humor will live on in our memories."
