About | Mr. McKee was the department head of the Safety Education Department in the mid-60's. He used his middle name, Downing, as his first name at Stanford University as well as at Aragon. He had a sense of humor that is confirmed by a photo found of him at Stanford dancing while wearing a hula skirt. The link is below. In the 1962 yearbook, this quote supports his humorous reputation: "likes working around the house...dislikes students shooting off the "Bazoos" in class...warns "Come to class and keep your Bazoos closed." Editor's note: A bazoo is a mouth. https://exhibits.stanford.edu/stanford-stories/catalog/rh088fc827 Birth 06 Jan 1925 - Bakersfield, Kern, Death 17 May 1977 - San Mateo, San Mateo, California Mother Sarah Gladys Downing Father Keith Sherwood Mc Kee |
