Here is an excerpt: "Phyllis met Richard while taking flying lessons with him in Concord, California. She was Richard's only student to use an earthquake fault as a checkpoint on a cross-country flight. She was united in marriage to Richard Steckel, Sept. 20, 1980 (her birthday), in Walnut Creek, California. They left California in 1984 and moved to Missouri. Their marriage was blessed with two children."
