Mr. Freschet was born in Italy in 1927.
Here is an excerpt from Mr. Frechet's Legacy obituary: "Fuzzy attended San Mateo High School...Fuzzy earned his teaching degree from S.F. State College. He taught at Aragon High School for several years, went on to get his Doctorate at Washington State University, and returned to Aragon as Coordinator of Flexible Scheduling. There, he implemented 'Block Scheduling' which was a pioneer model that many high schools use today."
Mr. Freschet's daughter, Dinah, preceded him in death. She would have graduated in 1973 if her family hadn't moved back east.
There's a quote from teacher Judy Cotter about "Fuz" (as she called him) in this obituary.

At the age of 16, Mr. Freschet went on to serve in WW2 as a U.S. Marine where he saw heavy fighting in Okinawa. Note: It was common for underage boys to enlist in the service during that war.
Rest in peace, Mr. Freschet, and thank you for your service to America and to your dedication to our education.
