From John's obituary: "John Lewis Born February 20, 1946, a longtime resident of San Jose died on March 2, 2004, at the age of 58. He was a graduate of Aragon High School in San Mateo and served as a Sergeant in the U.S. Marine Corp."

John's senior memory was to be a PFC in the Marines, and his nickname was "Louie, Louie."
