"Chris was a natural athlete, being active mostly in slow pitch softball. She was able to hit the ball out of the park. In 2004, at the age of 55, she played senior women's softball, touring coast to coast, playing eight to nine tournaments every year. She also played with the Grants Pass Relics recreational league since 2000. She had the reputation as being the cleanup batter, able to hit to the fence on a regular basis."
