Some of Mr. Revelli's obituary's details: Mr. Revelli received his masters in music education at San Francisco State’s college of music, and after a teaching stint at Golden Gate Junior High School in San Francisco, Elmer began a long tenure at Aragon High School in San Mateo, where his baton would guide wind ensembles toward high achievements, receiving numerous “command performances”; his bands were regularly featured on the Bay Area’s local, KKHI radio station in the Spring.

As Jazz Professional, Elmer played alongside jazz greats including Ella Fitzgerald, Sarah Vaughan, Tony Bennett, Frank Sinatra, and the Beatles." The last sentence here has been edited a bit to include the first or last names of these musical legends.

Mr. Ravelli brought out the best in me as a student and sax player. He was always positive and encouraging. I loved concert and jazz bands and was disappointed that I couldn't just continue those classed after qualifying for early graduation.

Mr. Revelli was my favorite teacher of all time. He would tell me the safest place on campus was in the Band room. I think he was right as I know I always felt welcomed and comfortable in this room. Playing and practicing my clarinet. I remember at the end of the school year he wrote "Peace & Quite" with the symbol of the Peace sign. His memory will be a happy memory of High School Days!
