Tina was born on March 3rd, 1970 in Marikina, Philippines. She was the second of four children. Her family immigrated to San Mateo, California in 1984. She attended Aragon High School and graduated with honors. Tina later received her A.A. Degree at the College of San Mateo. In 1993, Tina met and fell in love with Virgilio Cruz. They were married in the Philippines with her family and friends in attendance. Together, they were married for 24 years. They had one son, Sean Lewis Cruz.
