"Dawn was born in Reading, England to Robert and Peggy Oswald. In 1946, with her mother, they left Reading on the Queen Mary bound for America to join her father. They lived in San Francisco until 1954 when her parents moved to San Mateo. Dawn is survived by her husband Melvyn, her children Robert, Brian, Cissy, her granddaughter Sarah Rose, her cousin Evelyn, and numerous relatives in the UK."
