Here is part of Richard's obituary: "Richard was born in San Francisco, CA. He lived with his family in South San Francisco for many years before moving to Portola. In 1974, the family moved to San Mateo, where Richard graduated from Aragon High School in 1978. After High School, Richard went to work for various automobile dealers; eventually becoming a journeyman parts counterman. His vast knowledge and love of cars helped him make many friends in the area. He also enjoyed listening to classic rock & roll music and could match songs to artists as soon as the song started playing. In his later years, Richard got much joy from spending time with his grand nieces and nephews."
