About	Joni died in December 2021 from a lung ailment. She is survived by 2 daughters, grandchildren, and a great grandson named Lorenzo. Joni was living in Fair Oaks, California at the time of her death. Many of her friends wish her a happy birthday on Facebook in 2024. It was their way to stay connected to Joni's memory. She left Aragon in 1970 to attend Peninsula High School, but maintained her friendships with her closest and dearest friends. She is missed more than words can express.
