About Me | "Go confidently in the direction of your dreams. Live the life you've imagined."(Thoreau) I'm finally doing just that, Mr. Thoreau! Life is GOOD! :) * TRIPLE BOO on the big FB for changing it's privacy format...my information section is now completely fubared! I refuse to try and remember all that I had in here...most of you know me really well anyway. For those of you that don't...well, don't be shy...just ask me about my interests and I'll be happy to share with you :) I taught 10th & 12th Grade Language Arts at Ohatchee High School but I'm now currently looking for work. I have faith that I will end up exactly where I'm supposed to be. I graduated in May 2009 from JSU with a BS in Secondary Education English/Language Arts. I'm very proud of this achievement because it gave my daughter and I a chance at a better life. Speaking of my daughter, she is AMAZING and makes every second I breathe on this planet better...don't get me wrong...she is a precocious, curious, STUBBORN 7 year old with BOUNDLESS energy and can definitely be a STINKER-MESS at times, but I wouldn't trade anything for being Gracie's mommie!! It can be tough sometimes being a single parent but Gracie's given me the initiative and the drive to be the absolute best person that I can be. I pursued a singing career for several years before having my daughter. Once I had Gracie, I decided it was time to reevalute my goals and continue my education. Oh yeah, just a head's up...just because I teach English doesn't mean I have the best grammar skills in the world (especially on social networking pages) so if I leave out a comma (my most common mistake) or don't punctuate something correctly I'm sorry :)...I chose English because of my love of the written word, not to eradicate comma splices and dangling participles from the planet hahaha!! I only threw that in there for the simple fact that everyone says "WOW English, huh? You must love GRAMMAR"...that's negatory!! Or, even better, "Can you proofread my paper for me?" Ummm, not just "NO" but "Heck, NO!"...It makes my head hurt, I'm too much of a perfectionist...that, along w/momnesia would not make me your best paper "editor". LOL! So anyway, I LOVE my life! I'm blessed to be in a relationship with my best friend. He makes me laugh until I cry, keeps me grounded, and still gives me butterflies after all this time. I have the best family and friends a girl could ever ask for! They are my heroes and they keep me motivated, elevated, sane, happy etc...pretty much any other positive adjective applies here. I'm beyond blessed and I'm amazed by the si...(read more) |
