| About Me | Abunchyears in there I'd just as soon forget. Odd jobs, lotsa travel, making cute girls think I was worth hanging around with for awhile. At 30, I began my career with the USPS. Was a carrier in the King Street/Mission Street/Bay Avenue area of west SCruz. Married a foxy Hawaiian-Japanese girl from Maui. In '89, a coupla wks before the Quake, we moved to Oahu, where I was a mail carrier at Pearl Harbor area. In '91, I transferred to Maui where I became a window clerk at the Lahaina Post Office 'til I took disability retirement in 2003. Had to retire due to a diagnosis of Parkinson's (PD) in '98. It wasn't enough of an adventure, tho', so in '99 I decided to get cancer. Had a modified radical next dissection for that and 33 sessions the Radiation Therapy tanning booth. I've been cancer-free for 9 years. True to form, I'm always turning up and being a bit of a pain in the elemu. My wife and I have three gorgeous girls. They're gorgeous because none of my genes showed up in them. One is 25 and a school teacher in Cupertino. One just graduated from HS and will be attending an art school in SoCal. The youngest is in 5th grade. They are all excellent artists...they can draw, sketch, paint, you-name-it, anything. They didn't get that from me either.
