Graduation Year Class of 1993
Date of Passing Apr 12, 2008
About Heather Whalley, 33, beloved wife, mother, daughter, sister, friend, and servant of God unexpectedly went home to be with her Heavenly Father on April 12, 2008.

She is survived by her husband Seth; her three children, Ashley, Kyler and Julia; her mother, Laura Kell of Treasure Island, FL; her brothers, Jeremy Raetz and his wife, Amanda of Fall River, MA, Sean Kell and his wife, Iris of Florida; her sister, Angelica Yergeau; her in-laws Robert and Cheryl Whalley, Robert Whalley, Aaron & Evan Whalley, all of Assonet, MA, Jason & Sheila Whalley of Fall River, MA, Anne Marie Donlon of New Hampshire; and several nieces, nephews and close friends.

Before moving to Charlotte in December, 2006, Heather and her family lived in Lakeville, Fall River, Swansea and Dartmouth, MA.

Heather graduated from Apponequet High School in 1993 and later graduated from BCC with a degree in Early Child Ed. She was employed in a number of jobs including Happy Feet Daycare and The Standard-Times. As her children grew, her main job was to raise them, including home schooling Ashley and Kyler. In the free time she had, Heather loved to scrapbook, decorate cakes, 'reinvent' her home, watch her children's sporting events and travel, not hesitant to just 'pack up and go' when the opportunity arose.

Heather had a seemingly endless supply of energy which she used to serve her two great loves in this world — her family and her Lord. She was a loving wife to Seth for 12 years and was a great source of encouragement and inspiration to him. Heather was also a loving mother who treasured her children. To her extended family and friends, Heather served as a constant source of support, staying in constant communication and traveling often to be with them, especially when a need arose.

Heather was an active member of the Fall River Church of Christ for twelve years, where she taught Sunday School, organized Vacation Bible School as well as many other children's activities. In Charlotte, they attended the Lake Norman Church of Christ, where she was organizing their inaugural Vacation Bible School.

In her death, Heather continued to give, donating her organs to those in need, including our servicemen in Iraq.

While Heather will certainly be missed on this earth, she leaves behind a wonderful legacy of faith, love, sacrifice and carefree spirit which serve as an example for all to follow.

A memorial Service will be held in Fall River, MA, at a yet to be determined date. Donations to assist the family can be sent to the Fall River Church of Christ, 840 Rock Street, Fall River, MA 02740 Attn: Whalley Family Fund.
