About	We are deeply saddened to hear of the passing of Mr. Frank Rose, long-time teacher at Apponequet. Mr. Rose passed away yesterday, Thanksgiving Day, from melanoma. Eugene Francis Rose -- Frank -- was an English teacher at Apponequet from 1963-1994. In addition, he served Apponequet as English Department Chair. Frank was also yearbook adviser for many years and served with EAFL. During his tenure at Apponequet Frank and his wife Barbara perfected a research paper program and was well known for his literary expertise. Over the years he was mentor and an inspiration to many Apponequet graduates going on to college to pursue degrees in literature, journalism and writing. Memories of Frank will be cherished by those many students and colleagues. Services for Frank have not been finalized. A wake will be held next Wednesday at the Dahlborg-Nevin Funeral Home in Lakeville. Funeral services will follow on Thursday. Details will follow. Wake will be on Wednesday from 4:00 to 8:00 p.m. and Mr. Rose's funeral will take place at the funeral home at 1:00 p.m. on Thursday. P.S.
