Jay left this world having fun and enjoying life with his good friend, Keith Ebben, on January 9, 2010. Jay was born August 11, 1980, in Appleton, son of Joseph Luniak and Joelene (Brantmeier) Luniak. Jay was self-employed with his long-time friend and business partner, Brett Brandenburg, with Luniak Appraisals. Jay also worked as a Real Estate Agent with Exit Elite Realty. Moolie loved sports, especially the Packers, Brewers and the University of Wisconsin teams. He enjoyed participating in softball, volleyball and fantasy football.
In addition to his parents, Joseph and Joelene, Jay is survived by two sisters: Rhonda (Eldon Walker) Luniak and Renee (Ken Gilmeister) Luniak; a brother, Joe (Tonya) Luniak; his soulmate, Mallory Northam; his grandmother, Ethel Luniak; nieces and nephews: Christopher and Morgan Walker; Lauren, Ally, Alex Gilmeister; Kylie Luniak; numerous aunts, uncles, relatives, and special friends.
Jay was preceded in death by his maternal grandparents: Herbert and Ardyce Brantmeier; and his paternal grandfather, Howard Luniak.
A Funeral Service for Jay will be held at 12 NOON, Saturday, January 16, 2010, at Christ the Rock Community Church, W6254 Highway 10-114, Menasha, with Rev. Dave Van De Hey officiating. Friends and family may be received at the church on Saturday from 9:30 a.m. until the time of service at the church. Interment will take place at Portland Cemetery in Brandt, WI. In lieu of flowers, a memorial will be established.
Jay's family would like to thank the personnel of the surrounding counties and the local volunteers for their efforts in searching for Jay and Keith. Especially to the Winnebago Search and Recovery Team, Lt. John Zimmerman, Lt. Todd Christie, and Don Herman for their special attention.

Although we'll grieve

easy going and patient ways
And that loveable,
goofy smile.
A quiet and gentle giant,
You navigated through life
in your own way,
No one can say
you didn't "live it up".
You're one in a million, Jay.
Adored by
your nieces and nephews,
You found such joy
in being with them.
You filled so many roles
to us, uncle, son,
brother, nephew, cousin,
soul mate, and friend.
Although we'll never know
why you went,
You were meant
to leave us here.
We'll carry you always in
our memories and hearts
And remember
the last 29 years.
It's so hard for us
to say goodbye, So as
we honor you we'll say,
We miss you always,
we love you lots,
