About	Philip M. Murphy, 38, of Pittsburgh, formerly of Apollo passed away Monday, November 23, 2009 in his residence. He was born November 18, 1971 in New Kensington, PA to Phillip and Lawana (Stear) Murphy. Philip had lived in the Apollo area until moving to Pittsburgh area in the late 1990's. He worked in the computer industry as a systems administrator. Philip was a graduate of Apollo-Ridge High School in 1990. He attended Penn State University where he was president of Lamda Chi Alpha Fraternity. Philip also attended the North Apollo Church of God. He enjoyed amusement parks, roller coasters, roller blading, working out at the gym, movies, and working around his home which he took great pride in. He was a loving and caring son, brother, uncle, companion and friend. Philip was preceded in death by his paternal grandparents and maternal grandparents. He is survived by his parents; Phillip and Lawana (Stear) Murphy of North Apollo; his companion, Randall Bowser of Pittsburgh; two sisters, Melanie M. (Steve) Meldrum of Cypress, TX and Andrea L. (Tarek) Loutfy of Egg Harbor Township, NJ, niece, Sarah Meldrum of Cypress, TX; three nephews, Matthew Meldrum of Cypress, TX and Zachary and Gabriel Loutfy of Egg Harbor Township, NJ; and his dog Sparky. Visitation will be held from 2-4 and 6-8 P.M. Saturday, November 28, 2009 in the Curran-Shaffer Funeral Home and Crematory, Inc. 100 Owens view Ave. Apollo, PA where funeral services will be held Sunday, November 29, 2009 at 3:00 P.M. Pastor Chuck Owston officiating. Interment in Riverview Cemetery, Apollo, PA
