About	Melanie L. Barber, 39, of Clarksburg, died Sunday, Sept. 24, 2006, at her home. She was born June 9, 1967, in Indiana, Pa., to John J. Sr. and Dorothy L. (Reed) Turk. Melanie was a member of the Church of the Good Shepherd; active in the Apollo Ridge PTA; a collector of jewelry, shoes and clothing; an avid Steelers fan; and enjoyed cooking and baking. She was a loving wife and mother of three beautiful children. She loved spending time with her family and friends. Surviving are her husband, Randy L. Barber, of Clarksburg; three children, Cody, Emilee and Madison, of Clarksburg; her father, John J. Turk Sr., of McIntyre; a brother, John J. Turk Jr. and wife, Vickie, of McIntyre; father-in-law, Herbert Barber and wife, Pat, of Apollo; sister-in-law, Debbie Mihalic and husband, Dave, of South Carolina; brother-in-law, Gary Barber, of Spring Church; godparents, Gerry Bendis and wife, Louise, of Clarksburg; best friend, Paul Anthony, of Apollo; and numerous aunts, uncles, nieces, nephews and cousins. She was preceded in death by her mother, Dorothy Reed Turk; and mother-in-law, Mary Smitchko Barber. Friends will be received from 2 to 4 and 6 to 8 p.m. Wednesday at the BOWSER-MINICH FUNERAL HOME, Indiana. A funeral Mass will be celebrated at 10 a.m. Thursday in the Church of the Good Shepherd, Kent, with the Rev. Father E. George Saletrik as celebrant. Interment will be made in Riverview Cemetery, Apollo.
