Jimmie was (is) my stepbrother, and he was more like a brother to me than a stepbrother. He was the best brother a girl could have. He and a friend of his Jerry Henderson played basketball for Andrew Jackson, and it was so much fun going and watching their games. Jim would bring Jerry and his sister to the house a lot, and they were really nice. We enjoyed it when they came over. Jimmie, and Jerry would take me and Jerry’s sister to Ray Green Park with them to play basketball with them. Afterwards they asked us if we wanted to go to A&W Rootbeer to get a float and a hamburger. They didn’t have to ask twice. We used to have so much fun.
