Sarah Massey Cooner, age 76, passed away peacefully on January 10, 2026.
Sarah was the beloved matriarch of her family, a devoted wife, mother, grandmother, sister, and friend. She was known for her strength, kindness, and unwavering love for those closest to her. Her home and heart were always open, and her presence was a source of comfort and stability to many.
She shared a loving marriage with her husband, Wesley Cooner, for 59 years.
She is survived by her husband, Wesley Cooner; her children, John Cooner, Tammie Cooner Grotler, Dana Sansevere, Lisa Joyce, Justin Cooner and Jimmy Cooner; along with her grandchildren and extended family who will forever cherish her memory.
She will be deeply missed and lovingly remembered by all who knew and loved her.
