| About | Gayle Wilkes Garner, 75, of Mooresville, NC, passed away on Sunday, July 14, 2024. She was born on October 20, 1948, in Florida, to the late Horace and Marie Wilkes. Gayle was very talented at making crafts and floral arrangements. She was very jovial, feisty and would never catch her without her hair and makeup She enjoyed gospel music and was loved by many and will be greatly missed. In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her loving husband of 49 years, Larry Levis Garner. Those left to cherish her loving memory are her daughters, Laurie Garner (Lea Safrit), Lacie Garner; sister, Faye Cage (Wayne); nephew, Jason Cage, niece, Amy Cage. A memorial service will be held at 3:00 PM on Thursday, July 18, at the chapel of Cavin-Cook Funeral Home Memorials may be made to the Lake Norman Humane Society, 2106 Charlotte Hwy, Mooresville, NC 28117. Cavin-Cook Funeral Home & Crematory, Mooresville, is proudly serving the Garner family. |
