About Buried in the Bosque Bello Cemetery Fernandina, Florida

Mary Walden "Rosie" Booth passed away Thursday, January 5th, 2012. Rosie was born August 27th, 1949 in Jacksonville, Florida. She graduated from Andrew Jackson High School. She was the daughter of Duke and Mary Walden.

Rosie spent the majority of her life in Saluda, South Carolina. She opened a restaurant with her sister Jeanne in 1979. The restaurant thrived for 29 years because of the delicous food and extraoddinary love for people and their love for her. Rosie's heart was the size of Texas. Her thoughtfulness and generosity will be remembered by all who were a part of her life.

Rosie's life, however, extended beyond family and friends and business. She had a passion for dancing which brought her great joy. For many years she attended SOS in Myrtle Beach, where she and thousands like herself went to enjoy a fun filled week of "SHAGGIN", Rosie's official dance.

Rosie was preceded in death by her Father, "Duke", and sister, Martha.

She is survived by her son, Jason Carlton Booth, her mother, Mary Walden, her sister, Jeanne Prudot and brother, Carlton.

The family would also like to extend a very special thanks to Rosie's friend Robert Mixson. Robert gave Rosie extraordinary love and attention at a time she needed it most.

Funeral services will be at 3:00 pm on Sunday, from the Memorial United Methodist Church of Fernandina with Reverend Brett Opalinski, officiating. Pallbearers will be John White, Will Sawyer, Cole Mazza, Bill Sawyer, Darren Strickland and Robert "Zeb" Shorter.

Rosie will be laid to rest in Bosque Bello Cemetery.
