About	Buried in the Jacksonville National cemetery SN US NAVY VIETNAM Mr. Rodney Walker Smith, 61, passed away Sunday, April 11, 2010 at his residence surrounded by his family. Mr. Smith was a native of Jacksonville, a 1967 graduate of Andrew Jackson High School and a Veteran of the U.S. Navy - Vietnam. He retired as a Corrections Officer with the Jacksonville Sheriff's Office and attended Wayside Assembly of God. Mr. Smith enjoyed putting together models of WWII Tanks and WWII History. He is survived by his wife of 37 years, Rosa Lee Smith; 2 sons: Robert Walker Smith and Scotty Lee (Kimberly Ann) Smith; 1 sister: Pamela Lee (Joseph) Turner; 1 brother: Edwin Burt (Carolyn) Miller; 4 grandchildren: Kirsten, Nicholas, Jason and Graden and numerous other family members and friends. Graveside services will be held at 2:00pm on Thursday, April 15, 2010 at Jacksonville National Cemetery with Rev. Wade Mask and Rev. Raymond Bowers, officiating. Military Honors will be provided by the U.S. Navy.
