Private memorial services were held for Robert Lamar Roman, 58, of Paintsville, Ky., who passed away Thursday, Aug. 21. Mr. Roman was born Sept. 6, 1949 in Jacksonville, Fla., son of the late Robert Marion and Essie M. Durrance Roman. He was a coal miner and a U.S. Navy veteran. Surviving are his wife, Janie C. Blair Roman of Paintsville; one daughter, Julie (John) Childers of Williamsport, Ky. Arrangements under the direction of the Jones-Preston Funeral Home of Paintsville.
