About | Buried in the Jacksonville National Cemetery Charles P. Hogg, 63, a native and life long resident of Jacksonville passed away April 7, 2011. Born January 22, 1948 in Jacksonville, he was raised on Fort George Island, where he loved to fish, hunt, and ride his horse Copper. He graduated from Andrew Jackson High School, class of 1967, after which he served his country in the U. S. Navy, he became an apprentice electrician which led him to working with MIL-CON a military industrial construction group. He became a master electrician and worked at Kennedy Space Center where he worked on the launch pad for many of the shuttles. Charles was a member of St. George Episcopal Church and Solomon Masonic Lodge #20 F & AM. He is survived by his daughter: Krystal Hay (Red), his mother: Connie Wolf, 2 sisters: Belinda Brewer, Jacqueline Hogg, and the love of his life, his granddaughter: Gracie Lynn Hay and 1 nephew: Jacob Smith. Funeral services will be held Wednesday, April 13, 2011 at 12:30 PM in the Chapel of George H. Hewell and Son Funeral Home, 4747 Main St. Jacksonville, FL 32206 with Rev. Dr. Nancee Martin-Coffey officiating, a Masonic Service will follow conducted by his Masonic Brothers. Committal services with Navy Honors and burial will follow at 2:30 PM in Jacksonville National Cemetery. |
