About	Cremated Noble Joseph Elliott, Jr., 'Joe' , 60, died April 7, 2010 in Jacksonville FL. Joe was born at NAS Jax on April 22, 1949 to the late Noble Joseph Elliott, Sr. and the late Nellie Bertha (Mechum) Elliott. Joe graduated from Andrew Jackson High, JU, and UNF. He was proud of his two masters degrees, as education was of paramount importance to Joe. Joe loved all sports, tennis in particular. He played, coached and earned a little money with tennis and coached many other sports as well. Joe was both a mathematician and a poet. He chose teaching as his profession and empowered numerous students and relatives with math and other life skills for nearly 30 years at Oceanway, First Coast and Wolfson. He loved the outdoors and traveled the country via SUV and motorcycle, stopping to camp, kayak, and mountain bike along the way. He was an avid rose gardener and the kind of guy who would pull his car over to gaze upon a beautiful bird in flight. Joe leaves behind his wife, Luz Font; daughters, Jennifer Zarka (Tony), Erin Elliott, and Cristina Perez; granddaughter Rachael Armstrong; brother, LeRoy Elliott (Sherry); sisters, Linda Ballard (Dick), Esther Beach (David), and Diana Cribbs; as well as many nieces, nephews, grand nieces, grand nephews and loyal friends. The funeral will be held at Corey-Kerlin Funeral Home, 940 Cesery Blvd., Sunday, 4-11-10 at 3pm.
