| About Me | For all of those former Chalmette Middle School classmates and Andrew Jackson High School classmates, my mom was Dorothy Blackstone of Arabi Park Middle School and she eventually went on to be a member of the St. Bernard Parish School Board. She retired and moved to Picayune, MS in 1992. She was diagnosed with endometrial cancer in August, 2004, and we buried her on March 30, 2005. My father, Bernard Blackstone, lived until exactly one month after his 75th birthday and died of a massive coronary on August 27, 2006. I ended up back in Picayune because of my dad and my 32 year marriage fell apart. I have three beautiful grandchildren, two from my oldest daughter, Alisha and her husband Trent Wright, and one from my youngest daughter, Marie and her husband Carey...(read more) |
