| About Me | For my friends and family who haven't heard from me in months:just before Christmas I had a TIA. I spent three days in the hospital(it took that long for all my memory to come back). After lots of tests they found multiple blood clots in my lungs and my blood was much thicker than it should be. I moved in with my middle sister Marsha(who was still recovering from some extremely bad complications from surgery) and we are taking care of each other. The blood thinning medicine I had to take at first-2 shots in my tummy twice a day for a week-cost $1400 and my first blood tests went in the wrong direction. Of course, I freaked out and became terrified at every little back or chest pain and every litle headache wondering if a clot was breaking loose and this was it for me. After a few days I got my **** together and straightened up(thankyou, Gail). So,I had to give up some of my favorite foods because they interfere with the medicine I am taking now and am doing a walking exercise video with my sister every day. The first time I could only get through the warm-up. Now I stay on my feet the whole 18 mins, just have to stop a few times to catch my breath.Our goal is to do the whole exercise and keep up with it.I used up all my vacation and sick pay and still didn't have enough to cover all my time off. I go back to work Tues, 25th, and it won't take long to get back on my feet(lit&fig). I have wonderful sisters who have helped me through this, each in their own special way.
