| About Me | Not sure what to say - it is wierd thinking that we graduated 30 years ago. So much has happened - some good, some not so good - some fantastic and wonderful! I don't feel much different than I did in HS, but my body reminds me otherwise more often than not. I can't even remember when my ability to run - up n quit on me. I just know that as I tried to run after one of my kids when they were younger, it hit me like a sledge hammer - "hey dummy, what makes you think you can run like that any more?" Ah - duh! I married early (while still in HS, had a daughter and divorced when I was 19 shortly after my daughter died. It was a very sad time in my life. I have a wonderful husband, his name is Jim and he is spectacular. We have been married for a (VERY) long time, and he is still my very best friend, my lover my, better half. He runs a beautiful 68 Chevelle that does the quarter mile in a "calculated" 8.6 - Our team races frequently out of Irwindale, which is 1/8mile track, which is why I say "calculated". We will be going to Fontana's PSEA in November and we will see if our calculations are correct. Our oldest son is 25, just back from the war and slated to ship out again. You might have seen him if you have seen the movie "Eagle Eye" or "Day After Tomorrow, II". He is not an actor, just in the right place at the right time, and amazingly didn't end up on the cutting room floor. He is just one of those kids who everything he touches turns to gold. Well usually. Our next two are adopted from Russia. Both are 17; a boy born in August and a girl born in September. (No they are not biologically related) Our 17 yr old son wants to return to Russia and find his bio family. It looks like he may stay and live in Russia from there on out. Our 17 yr old daughter is a junior in HS, and is just a sweet pea! She is very petite, very short and likes to rub it in that she "doesn't even weigh 100 pounds!" AAAAHHHH!!!! I so remember when I could say that. But then, I wasn't all growed yet up either! LOL! I am self employed and work in the non profit industry, specifically philanthropy. Love it, love it, love it! There is just no greater feeling than that of helping someone who really needs it - and in a very tangible way. I couldn't ask for a better life or job. If you know me and want to communicate ...(read more) |
