| Favorite School Memory | High school was awesome, and it's hard to choose one memory to call my favorite. I think I will choose the most emotional. Graduation. 2002 was and still is an amazing class. I always had a sense that the people in our class were going places, they were going to do big things. Our class was going out in the world, and we were going to be amazing! And we are. At graduation, our class came out of its cocoon, and we were ready to leave home. Not only that, but we came together. For the hour or two that the 250 of us sat there, I think all of us were there together, not only in body but in spirit as well. We were a family in that moment. | About Me | After graduating AHS, I attended Skagit Valley College and obtained my Associates in Science Degree. That summer, I attended an internship program with the Chemistry Dept at the University of Washington. I then completed my Bachelors in Chemistry at Western Washington University in 2006. I worked as a laboratory technician for a year before and during that time, I got to be in the musical Brigadoon which played at McIntyre Hall in 2007. I then left chemistry to pursue my interest in massage therapy. I attended Everest College; though, I have no interest in actually practicing in the field. I am now living back at home in Anacortes with my awesome family, and I work at Trust Accounting Center down by the Guemes Ferry. I spend most of my free time hanging out with my little brother Michael or writing, of course.
