Georgie was a great friend and we had some fun adventures together while in high school and stayed friends and visited each other from time to time until I went into the service for the second time. The last time I heard anything about her was when I came home on leave to help my Mother; and a sick and dying brother, Robert L. Gilbert, who died in 2007, (class of 1965) also. I, of course, miss my brother, and also my friend Georgie and her wonderful family.I accidentally ran into Terry Dancingberg when I was home briefly that year; and she told me about Georgie; and I just did not have enough time to go see her. I had to much I had to do for my widowed and aging Mother, and my very sick brother. It would have been tough to see Georgie as ill as she was and I can honestly say she was one of my very close and beloved friend. I still think of her from time to time and like to remember her as I new her. A wonderful, caring friend to those she loved and just a very beautiful person inside and out.
