| About Me | Hi Classmates! It’s September, 2022, 52 years since we graduated from Lynch High School! Can you believe it, that we’re all turning 70 this year? Wow! Pam Swart (Lynch '72) and I have been living in San Antonio, Texas since 1997. We came here on assignment with the US Air Force and fell in love with the city and culture. There’s always a fiesta, parade, or some type of celebration. But over the long, hot summer, most of our effort is spent in finding ways to stay cool !! While on active duty, I deployed twice as the internist physician member of USAF expeditionary medical groups to set up and operate hospitals in tents—like a MASH unit. My team was on the first plane out of the US after the 9-11 attack on America. I retired from the Air Force in 2003 as a Lieutenant Colonel after 22 years of service and stayed on in federal civil service in my former active-duty position. I still work full-time as the geriatric internal medicine physician and physician acupuncturist at Wilford Hall Ambulatory Surgical Center, the large USAF medical facility in San Antonio. My super support staff all dressed up in pretend bowties for my 70th birthday. Teaching the resident doctors is great, as well as taking care of America’s military heroes in their later years. We have a tremendous family, a delightful daughter and son-in-law with amazing four-year-old twins. Bentley the dog is everybody’s favorite. We live around the block from the twins and are very much involved in their care. I’m posting some pictures along with this note.
