About Me	Can a native Californian find happiness in the middle of the Midwest tallgrass prairie? So far, so good! Raised in Fremont, CA, I lived in Berkeley for about 20 years, working for Mervyn's, The Nature Company and Clif Bar Inc. I've led over 25 national and International hiking trips for the Sierra Club - some of my favorites are England's Coast to Coast Walk, Ireland, and anything in the Sierra Nevada's John Muir Wilderness. Met my husband Kurt on a backpacking trip; we moved to Dancing Rabbit Ecovillage in (of all places) rural Missouri in 1999 (learn more at dancingrabbit.org).
