About Me	"Very shortly after graduating from Alvirne, I went off to the Air Force Academy in Colorado. It was an "interesting" four years. My subsequent Air Force career consisted of a little of everything - briefly flying, personnel, ICBM missiles, and finally, contracting, with assignments in Texas, New York, California, Wyoming, Connecticut, Ohio, Seattle, and lastly, Texas again. My last position was as plant commander for defense industry. A job offer led me to retire as Lt Col in 1992 and spend the next 16 years in defense industry itself. Along the way, I married, had two great kids, a son who followed in my footsteps to the AF Academy and now works for the State Dept and a daughter who is a nurse, married a Texan and gave us two terrific grandkids. I fully retired in 2008 and we moved from the Dallas area to Canyon Lake north of San Antonio. I keep as busy as I want to be with volunteer work, playing my guitar, travelling, various activities around our "spread" and neighborhood, ...(read more)
