I remember Harland as being a youth with sometimes rambunctious tendencies.
I recall we were rehearsing for an activity in the community hall.
There was some sort of a commotion in one of the small rooms on the south
side of the stage. Harland was involved and was questioned what was going on,
his response was that he and a Nelson girl were making out and smoking cigarettes.
They were still in grade school, likely seventh graders.
