Class of 1987
Army, 6 Years
I entered the Army in August 1987 as an aircraft powerplant repairer. I was stationed at Ft. Bix, NJ for basic infantry training, then to Ft. Eustis, VA for advanced individualized training and then to Ft. Bragg for my first duty assignment. While being stationed at Ft. Bragg, I was deployed to Saudi Arabia on September 21, 1990 for Desert Shield. On January 17, 1991, we entered Desert Storm. They handed us live ammo, and then the fear set in, we were actually going to war. This was no longer a field training exercise.
After Desert Storm, I was reassigned to Honduras, but was turned around in movement while in transition at Panama and reassigned to Ft. Bliss, TX where I stayed until April 1994 when I exited the service. Brave Rifles, and Aviation All the Way! Hooah!
