About Me	After graduating from CMU, I moved to Clarkston, WA where I taught at Lincoln Middle School for fifteen years from 1980 to 1995. In 1993, I married Cindy O'Malley from Le Center, MN who was working at Gratiot Community Hospital in Alma, MI when we met. In 1995, we moved to northern MI where we've been for the past seventeen years. I'm principal of Platte River Elementary (part of Benzie Central Schools) which houses a K-5 wing and all of the district's 6th grade students in another wing. Cindy retired in April of 2012 and I retired in June of 2012. We spend a lot of our free time in the winter snowboarding at Crystal Mountain and enjoying Lake Leelanau in the summer.
