2.5 years with the Big Red One, Ft. Riley, Kansas.
Part of Reforger 1975 in West Germany.
Assisted National Guard units in Wisconsin, Michigan, and Pennsylvania.
Served under Nixon, Ford, and Carter.

I have served both is the Navy from 1980-1986 (Submarine Service as a Fire Control Technician Guns and as a Scuba Diver.) and continue to serve in the Rhode Island Army National guard A Battery 1st/103rd FA
I had a 17 year break in service before joining the Rhode Island National Guard as a Staff Sergeant in Sept of 2004. My unit was called into active service December 2004. After Training at Fort Hood TX and Fort Polk LA My unit was assigned to the 39th Brigade Combat Team out of Arkansas. After completing training we headed to Iraq and provided many different services in and around Taji Iraq. Listed are just a few of the many different things we did: Base Security, Road Patrols, Convoy Escort, Quick Reaction Force, Field Artillery Missions, Training the Iraqi Army in Close Quarters Combat. I am pictures at a rocket attack sight I was the first Combat life saver st the seen. The only casulty this day was the burning Conx Box, on other days we where not so lucky...
