About Me	Became one of first female telephone installers on the West Bank; Built some of the first microwaves (Roper) ovens in Illinios; Built computer chip boards for Computers in White House and government in Illinios; When laid off in 1987 from the Bell system (split up), earned my Security License, insurance license, H&R Block tax certification, and earned a Cosmetology license; started my own hair business in Waveland, MS, with my husband, Sam. Started college at age 49 and earned scholarshilps. Graduated with Highest Honors and have been an elementary teacher since Dec. 14, 2001. Taught 20 students in a tent on a basket ball court after Hurricane Katrina in Waveland at St. Clare. School and homes completely gone. I have traveled by camping to 48 states with my children and have visited Alaska with my daughter and granddaughter in 2005 on a cruise and 3 excursions. The three of us flew in a helicopter to a national park galcier to drive a dog sled.Then we flew in a float plane to another glacier lake (900 ft. deef) to transfer to a high speed catamaran to see whales, eagles, and seals. Then we took an 8 day trip across the Northwest to national parks. I have photographed bears in the wild in TN with three of my granddaughters last June and with my son when he was 14.
