About	John Gordon Koch joined his parents in Heaven on Sunday, August 26, 2012, after a brave battle with cancer. He was preceded in death by his parents, Charles M. and June D. Koch. He is survived by his sister, Kathleen P. Childress; brothers, James P. Koch and Charles M. Koch Jr. and his wife, Faye; favorite aunt, Ruth Allard; nephew, Joshua Koch; great-nephew, Chuck Childress; nieces, Lisa Wilbanks and Angela Koch; great-niece, Danielle Wilbanks; and soul mate, Lingy Koch. Johnnie was a United States Air Force Vietnam veteran and Army veteran. He graduated from Albemarle High School in 1969. He was a kind, gentle, generous and loving son, brother, and uncle. He enjoyed playing his guitar, was a respected house painter among other home repair skills in the Los Angeles, California, area for many years. He returned to Virginia, to care for his parents as their health declined.
