The best big brother a girl could have, when we were little. I got to go everywhere with him and his friends. He even pulled me, riding in our wagon, with his bike when they played "Wagon Train". Then we got to junior high, and he pretended he didn't know me. In high school, especially, because he was one of "Hogan's Heroes" (He played trombone in Mr. Hogan's band) and I was in the choir, so I was just one of "Herbie's Canaries". As adults, we were almost always good friends, but I lived on National Forests, so we were too far apart to see a lot of each other. Depression runs in our family, and his third suicide attempt was successful. One of my biggest regrets is that he died before Jurassic Park came out. He would have absolutely loved that movie.
