Alumni Stories
George R. Willis
Class of 1964
IF ANYONE READING THIS, IS CONSIDERING NOT ATTENDING YOUR UPCOMING REUNION, (Class of 65) I hope you are listening. I in April of 2014 (prior to my reunion in August) had pretty much decided against attending for a lot of stupid reasons, like I DIDN'T ENJOY MANY OF THEM THEN, WHY NOW?, I CAN'T AFFORD IT, (live in California with the cost of Gas, NO WAY, HIGH SCHOOL WAS NOT A FUN TIME FOR ME WITH ALL THE INFLATED EGOS AND DRAMA, NO THANKS All of that went away, the minute I walked in the door of the Lakewood Country Club and immediately knew I had to go locate and talk to everyone in sight.. The 3 hours the luncheon was scheduled to last was not nearly long enough, and there was not enough time for me to even have piece of Apple Pie and cup of coffee. Bottom line? The money spent, the time to get there and back, and the personal portions of CROW that I did eat, were completely worth it. Had so much fun, talked way too much, I CAN'T WAIT UNTIL MY 60TH COMES AROUND. For you, make your plans to attend as soon as you know where and when. You'll be forever grateful you listened to this UPPERCLASSMAN..
Best Regards.
