Herb Vanderbilt
Class of 1964
Started College- dropped out
- Started working in construction
- Started taking classes again
- Met my wife
- Started working for Amway as a Lab Technician
- Had two children
- Worked and went to school at the same time- eventually graduated
- Worked my way up to being a Research Scientist, received several US Patents.
- Spent 8 years as an International Regulatory Manager, lived in Europe for a year, traveled extensively throughout Europe
- Shifted to another Regulatory Position and spend 2 years traveling to Central and South America as well as Australia, New Zealand
- Have vacationed in Maui for the last 12 years, primarily in North Kihei.
- Got involved in Church, School, local politics
- Became a Lay Speaker in the Methodist Church
- Served as Township trustee for 16 years
- Children grew up, married and now we have 3 GrandChildren
- Involuntary retirement from Amway after 35 years
- Started working as a consultant, substitute Teacher
- Started the process to become a Local Pastor in the United Methodist church
- Currently am recently retired from Bissell and at the same time am still a licensed Local Pastor appointed by the Bishop to East Nelson United Methodist Church
-We now have a fourth grand-child, a son
