Khemya graduated from Delta College-AA, San Francisco State-BA, J. F. Kennedy Univ.-MA, and Clayton College of Natural Health-PhD, She worked in the community of Stockton, bringing the arts of Dance, Music (Drumming) and Song to after-school programs. She started a Non Profit org. in grassroots community where she mentored many at risk children and youth She just opened a center: Khamitic Healing Arts Center, where she teaches Dance, Music, Yoga, Exercise and Drumming. She is an artist-Dance, Music, Choreography, Performance, Folk-Guitar Compositions, Jazz Improv. Piano & Song, Poetry. She has wrote four journals of poetry, and is working on CD compilation of her songs, and performs in her community. She has been working on her Geneology and has traveled to Brazil, Nigeria-Iragbiji to pariticipate in Egungun Festival 2009.
