Favorite School Memory	My favorite memories are spending time cruising the 2 block loop with friends after ball games and attending school dances with a large circle of close friends.
About Me	After I graduated from high school, I attended SDSU in Brookings for one year. I changed my major and then transferred to the University of South Dakota. I graduated from there with a B.S in Education in the Spring of 1992. I substituted in area schools until finding a job in the Fall of 1994 at the Elk Point-Jefferson School. I taught 7/8 reading, PE, and directed the Gifted Program for 11 years before transferring to a 5th grade position after the Gifted program was basically cut. Now, I just love teaching 5th grade and plan on staying in that position for a long time. Until recently, I stayed working at the U during the summers for the SD Governor's Camp. Presently, I work at the Alcester Golf Club. I married Johnny Van Wyk (a 1988 West Sioux graduate) in April of 1997. We have two children - Holly (born in Dec. 1998) and Tristan(born in Aug. 2002) .
