About Me	I'm have been happily married to Matt for 16 years. We are a "Yours, Mine, and Ours" family. Matt has three sons from a former life (ages 25 -34) and I have one son, David (age 27). Together, Matt and I have two daughters, Katie and Betsy who are 14 and 12, respectively. My son, David, has one daughter (my granddaughter), Megan who is five. I have completed my course work for a Ph.D. in Organization and Management with a focus on leadership. The plan is to complete my Comps this summer and start my dissertation this fall. The title of my dissertation will be Workplace Bullying: What about the Professional Target? In January, I made the next step in my journey by leaving Corporate America. Since my resignation, I have been very busy taking courses, teaching, and working on grants. Thankfully, my networking has resulted in many opportunities. In addition, last week I threw my name in the race for Pine County Commissioner. In 2009, I founded my own consulting firm, Anatomical Advisors, which partners with institutions to achieve business results through people. My last position was the director of Human Resources at a healthcare organization that employees 26,000 people. Before joining healthcare, I held the positions of director, Human Resource Operations at a large utility and a medical device company. Prior to that, I held several accounting and finance management positions in the financial services industry and defense manufacturing. Yes, I started my career in finance, moved to HR, and now consider myself a People Professional. I graduated from Augsburg College in 1986 with a Bachelor of Arts degree in Economics and Business Administration. Also, in 1988 I earned a Masters in Business Administration from the University of Minnesota - Carlson School of Management with a concentration in Corporate Finance. I obtained a Certified Management Accountant (CMA) in 1991. In addition, I have been an adjunct faculty instructor for 18 years with Minnesota State Colleges and Universities. In my spare time, I served, and continue to serve, on numerous non-profit boards of directors. In addition, I have served as an evaluator for the Minnesota Quality Award. I have also volunteered at the Minnesota Accounting Aid Society and served on the St. MaryÃƒÂ¢Ã¯Â¿Â½Ã¯Â¿Â½s MBA Advisory Board. We recently moved to our lake home in Pine City, Minnesota.
