Consisting mainly of figuratives and architectural subject matter, he usually takes a particular motif and works it in a few dozen different ways before moving to new ground. "I will go back to visit a subject once in a while, but I don't want to be pinned to one narrow focus of subject matter," says Forde. His education includes Drake University, Colorado State University (BFA Graphic Design) and Art Center College of Design, Pasadena, California. Shows include The Cherry Creek Arts Festival, Denver, Colorado; Colarado State Capital building, Denver, Colorado; Celebration of Fine Art, Scottsdale, Arizona. Although he is nationally known as a contemporary southwest painter, his other directions in art include a series of golf paintings.
