| About Me | Military brat who wanted to be a doctor in the US Air Force, but ended up being an aircraft maintenance officer after graduating from USAFA (the premed program had been discontinued during my four years there). I separated from the military five years later, finished premed at UCCS, worked for a year as a teacher's aide at High Plains and Edith Wolford Elementary Schools in District 20, finished medical school in Denver (meeting and marrying my wife Becky along the way), and rejoined the USAF on active duty at Fitzsimons Army Medical Center. ... Retired now, my main volunteer work is with a team of Americans supporting the work of Young Life Ukraine, meeting some of their staff and volunteers on Zoom every month, and encouraging them every day in between.
